I am 13 and I am experiencing a loss of voice. It started about two days ago. I first had the sniffles. Then ichy throught. Now a loss of voice. I sound like a dead fish... I'm not exactly sure if it is a dry cough, but yeah...
I have been going to my bus stop with no jacket. XD HELP ME!
Should I go to the doctor?
What shoud I do?
What other symptoms are there?
I'm eating a lot of oranges...
* I'm not sure IF I HAVE dry thorought XD

Answer
You have a cold dear. They suck too ;P Good to eat oranges and all fruits and drink lots of water and ginger ales, and get extra rest. Don't tackle sports for a couple days. And your body would love it if you just dressed warmer till its done fighting these bugs off. As for a dry cough which can come with cold dry winters, bundle up and wrap a scarf around your mouth and nose to keep them humid . I will wear a little paper mask over my mouth and nose at night so my mouth doesn't dry out from breathing though my mouth to much ( from clogged sinuses ) . I have a warm vaporizer ( Vicks ) and that helps keep the bedroom humid too. Too dry an air makes us feel yucky and causes that dry lung feeling.
also go into the bathroom, shut door, open shower curtain, plug tub, turn on hot water in shower head, and stand and breath in steam for 10 minutes. Turn off water, sit for a bit and let lungs rehydrate, then empty tub and go out to hallway. It really helps a dry cough!

My new stepmom & I went house shopping for months & finally found the perfect house. 3 bedrooms so i could use 1 as an office for school work & get a roommate for the other so I could stop working full-time & focus on school. I would be renting from her for 2 years, & then renting-to-own once I graduated.
A lot of work had to be done in the home. My boyfriend & I agreed to paint the inside of the home to lower my deposit & 1st months rent, & she was to pay a painter to paint the outside.

The 1st time we had trouble was about $. The house was closing on August 20th, I was getting paid on the 24th & was planning on moving my things in on the 26th. We agreed weeks in advance that I would pay her on the 26th. Then suddenly on the 19th she had a bi-polar fit & told me if I didnt pay her right then she was canceling the deal & going to try to stop the purchase. I had to sell my newly purchased couches just to pay her.

The 2nd problem happened when she didnt want to pay for the painter to paint the outside. So we told her we would paint the lower 1/2, as far as we could reach with my ladder so she didnt have to pay the full amount. I did that in September. The house is STILL not fully painted 9 mnths later!

3rd incident. In December I found a roommate, a single mother to a 3-year old who was remodeling her new home & needed a room for approximately 6 mnths, which worked out perfectly. She paid 1/2 the rent & utilities, & I watched her daughter while she worked to cover part of my share. On April 25 2013, my stepmom had another bi-polar episode & came to the house making a scene & told me I was violating my lease by having a roommate. We got a 3 bedroom for the specific purpose of having a roommate to cover 1/2 the bills! & my lease says my name & "Another tenant later to be named!" So I was NOT violating anything, yet she kept threatening me with eviction. I spoke to my roommate about it & she agreed to move to save me from the drama.

Our lease also states that any repairs would be done by the "landlord." Within a few days of moving in I realized the office had a heating/cooling problem, its on average 15 degrees hotter/colder in that 1 room. Meaning if the house is 72 in the summer, the office is 87, 72 in winter = 57. Some weeks when it gets really hot or cold outside its almost unusable. This problem was never fixed after numerous complaints.

Last month the AC broke, & because the house isnt properly insulated it was staying around 83-87 degrees which meant the office was reaching over 100 degrees! Which made my computer, etc barely function.
I still watch my old roommates little girl in the home as my only income right now, which I had to take that time off because I couldnt even have her here. It took her 3 weeks to actually get some1 to come fix the AC unit, which meant I lost almost a month of income! But still never bothered with the office problem.

A week before she finally got the AC fixed I borrowed a temporary window unit for a little relief until the AC worked. She saw it on the day she came with the repairman & took pictures, later sending me texts about how it VIOLATES MY LEASE! & I might be facing eviction because "no changes are to be made to the property without written consent" which, is not even part of the lease agreement, & i only got it because she was not fulfilling her duties.
Not to mention the fact that since I was going to own the home eventually, ive also remodeled the kitchen, built a deck, installed a hot tub, etc, all of which she has come over & enjoyed. AND my home was even featured in a magazine because of all my hard work and designing!
Plus ive done numerous fixes she wouldnt fix, including all new gutters.

Last week after numerous more attempts to fix the office heating/cooling problem I finally just hired some1 myself to fix it & bought all new insulation.

This week, I received a text saying she was hiring a painter for the outside & would be raising my rent to pay for it & if I didnt agree she would evict me. Which I think is illegal.

Im dealing with a crazy person & dont know where to go from here! I want to move but im stuck in a 2 year lease & dont know what the best thing to do is. Im a good christian girl & ive been trying to handle this the right way but I cant have some1 holding my home over my head & threatening me all the time. I feel like Ive been taken advantage of. Ive done all this work to the home & spent so much time, money, & effort on it, & I feel like shes just trying to push me to leave so she can rent it out for a higher price or sell it since the value is so much higher now.

Another problem is the fact that she refuses to give me a copy of the lease. Ive been asking for a year but she keeps giving me excuses. Im afraid now that she could alter it since I refuse to pay for the painter.

So what should I do? Continue paying my regular rent & talk to a lawyer, maybe?

Answer
This is exactly why it is not a good idea to do business with friends/relatives. Too Much Drama!

My head is spinning from all the he said she said. I can't even think to comment!

Good luck tho.

How to make myself look older?

So I'm 16 and I look younger then I actually am. I have long blonde hair, blue eyes and I have light skin. I already wear makeup but it doesn't really help any. I really hate how I look because I was born with a Cleft Palate and so my nose looks different then everyone else's. I'm having surgery to thin out my nose in September and I'm extremely excited. How can I make myself look older and look different because I don't think I'm pretty at all. What kind of hairstyle should I get?

Thanks!
If it helps, I have an oval shaped head.

Answer
1. Tanning bed. 10-15 years older, but I do not recommend that. You're only 16, going on 17, btw!

2. Highlighting the hair if you're a teenager. As for me, example, it's the opposite, my cousin told me I should dye my hair so I can be younger. How many older folks have hair down to their knees? If you're old and you dye your hair, you're still old. FYI: Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.
> > > Hair dye chemicals linked to cancer
London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 22 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <â¨
3. Wear a ton of makeup, eyebrow pencils, lots of mascara so they look fake. I also do not recommend this. I wear more makeup then in HS, than I do now! Less product poisoning. You're only 16, going on 17.

4. Wear fake nails, fake lashes, wigs. Toddlers & Tiaras, see how much older they looked when they have those on!.

5. Wear very short hair. Everyone have short hair @ the senior center where I do volunteer work. Jennifer Aniston, the most desirable member of 'Friends' TV sitcom, is the one left who is single, has short hair! Jane Lynch for ex. on Glee, looks like she's in her 60's! That means I've been mature since 2nd grade.

6. Wear 6" high heels to school. But high heels also linked to arthritis. Google it.

7. Lay in the sun, so you can get lots of aged spots, not to include pre-mature aging look faster. Soak in the pool or tub. Use very hot water everyday. But, if I were you, go for flawless skin. I have it.

8. Dress like your mom. Again, you're only 16, going on 17, but dress whatever gives you confidence.

9. Put your hair up, if it's long. I may look like I'm 12, when it's down, but putting them up, makes me more mature.

Men want to see the real you. Go for pretty, not pretend-y. Unless you're doing a runway and getting paid to model, my advice is DON'T.
My dentist & his wife looks like high school kids! Looking younger than your age, is REALLY a positive thing. Don't take that seriously. It's just a number, btw. My parents were in their 90's and people thought they were only in their 70's, because they were doing all their chores, gardening, etc.
Age is just a number. . . . until someone tries to guess yours.
I weighed 85lbs. when I was married @ 21, and I've only gained 25-30 pounds after children, and I'm 60.

Re: pretty.
Positive attitude makes people BEAUTIFUL, It's because they see other parts of the world suffering more than them. If it's about your tummy, jaw, breasts, face etc. today, what will you find about yourself that's negative tomorrow.
I thought I was ugly, because I never dated, but I treat people with respect, and I inspire them, making their negatives into a positive. Coming from Asia, I've been to where people only eat rice all day & nothing else, but that never bother me, so I've been there, I can relate, but people who has MORE than us, can't seem to appreciate how lucky they are.

âPeople always shoot down what they donât understand... The only way to achieve beauty is to feel it from inside without breaking it down into individual physical attributes.â Wait, did I just quote Miley Cyrus?

"If you can learn to use your mind as well as you use a powder puff, you will become more truly beautiful." ~ Sophie Loren

If you look @ the Red Carpet, many celebrities have dark knees or ugly feet wearing sexy sandals too small! Julianne Moore & Ke$sha for instance, two examples with flawed ugly feet, but they have beautiful smiles forgetting about their aches & pains, and walked the Red Carpet.

Itâs almost impossible to look as perfect as some of us deem celebrities look in photos. Heck, some of the celebrities donât even look like their own images thanks to heavy photoshopping. Some of it is getting a little ridiculous and you have to think about the young, impressionable children who could happen upon these pictures. Abandonment of rental by tenants, no disclosure of rodent infestation- Long description but help me if you can?

skigirl31

I'm an out of state Landlord of a mountain cabin in Idaho. I signed a lease with my tenants (two couples) on October 1st, 2012. The term is for October 1st, 2012 until April 15th, 2013. We exchanged signed copies via email (scanned copies). I was aware that they would be staying in the cabin just over the weekends and during some holiday weeks. The house is completely furnished.

We emailed the tenants an explanation of how to get into the property. We left a key in the lock box and gave them the code. We left the cabin in a completely habitable condition. We also cleaned the hot tub, drained and refilled new water, applied chemicals and shut the hot tub cover. In the lease they are completely responsible for the maintenance, cleaning of the tub.

We became concerned that the pipes could freeze during the cold snap. We called our friends on Nov. 14th and had them check the house, including the pipes and the hot tub. They said that the hot tub cover was flipped open and pine needles filled the entire tub (big wind storm). They said the house looked very clean.

On Nov. 18th we drove 6 hours just to clean the hot tub and add chemicals. We explained to the tenant that they must be there at least every week to check on the house, especially to be sure that the heaters were on just enough to keep the pipes from freezing. Our last tenants didn't clean that well so I spent a few hours cleaning the house. We left it very clean.

On the 24th of Nov tenant called with a couple of questions. She told my husband that everything looked fine.

On Dec 2nd she emailed me complaining of mice droppings throughout the house. She said that she and her sister had started moving things in and they saw a mice infestation. There were no d

What is the cheapest cruise from charleston SC?

Kevin

Hi,

My wife and I are on an extreme budget. We are looking for the cheapest cruise from Charleston SC. We live in Raleigh nc and would be happy to go anywhere...but I think Charleston's port would make the most sense. Can you give me your opinion on what would be the best price/trip for these dates:

Leave around March 30, 2013 And come back to U.S. around April 5th 2013

I would love any advice. We had a friend that was talking about a cheap cruise but can't seem to find anything really cheap. Any advice??? Thank you in advance!

Answer
I live in Raleigh also and my advice is first forget trying to get a cheap last minute cruise; there is no such thing. Most cruises sell out and the price generally goes up and not down as you get close to the sail date. It's not at all like booking an airplane or train ticket.

When we cruise we drive to Florida, always a day early so as not to miss our cruise because of some last minute mishaps. We stay about an hour north of the port so that we can find the cheapest room and so that on cruise day we have just an hour or two drive to get to the port. From Raleigh to Port Canaveral is about a 10 to 12 hour drive and once there your options will be Royal Caribbean (2 ships), Disney (very expensive), and Carnival. ( http://www.portcanaveral.com/cruising/cruising.php )

Your options for lower priced cruises go way up when you drive to Florida because there are more ports (Jacksonville, Port Canaveral, Ft Lauderdale, Miami, and Tampa) AND there are more cruise lines which mean more competition and generally better prices. ( http://www.porteverglades.org/cruises.php ) ( http://www.miamidade.gov/portmiami/cruise-main.asp ) The drive from Raleigh to Ft Lauderdale and Miami is about 13 hours but not so bad if you split it up doing most one day and then a couple hours or so the next. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE TO THE PORT ON YOUR CRUISE DAY. You MUST be on the ship no later than 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time and they do close the check-in booths.

I am an experienced cruiser; cruise 2 or 3, sometimes 4 times a year and found that driving to Florida is way cheaper than flying, even with gasoline prices and hotel costs. Yes you could drive about 6 hours to Baltimore, Md but then you'll get one of Royal Caribbean cruise line's older ships and the same for Carnival. The BEST and newest ships sail from Port Canaveral, Ft Lauderdale, and Miami.

Yes you could drive to the ports in New York and New Jersey but that from Raleigh is also about a 12 hour drive with LOTS of traffic and tolls. The selection of ships is much wider than Baltimore but still not like going to Florida. When you drive to the ports they all have parking right by the ship, prices range from about $15 to $25 a day depending upon the port. The prices for parking are generally listed on the port web site. Figure about $100 to $125 for parking by the ship for a 7-day cruise

You also get the best price by look for deals vs a specific date as you have indicated. Prices of cruses can vary by hundreds for the exact same cruise on different dates. So the BEST price may be a week or two, or a month, after your selected date.

Regardless of which cruise line or ship you select the things that are included are pretty much the same. The price of your cruise includes your cabin, all meals (including breakfast, lunch dinner, snacks and free room service), free admissions to all shows and entertainment, and free use of all facilities on ship like the pools, hots tubs, gym, disco, etc,. The things that you will have to pay for are gratuities (tips) alcoholic drinks and soft drinks, photos that you want, any tours from the ship you want to take, spa services like massages, and internet service. Gratuities will be about $12.00 per day per person and cover the cabin steward, waiter and assistant and the Matre'd.. Other tips are added to drink orders at a rate of 15%. You can book a 7-day cruise for about $750 to $800 per person. Shorter 3 or 4 day cruises are less.
