Hot tubs or jacuzzi's in San Francisco?

WillLynn 1

There used to be a place off of Market street near Van Ness that had hot tub rentals by the hour. Does anyone know the name of it and if it is still there? It may have been on Fell st but I could be wrong.
Sorry Gaucho Girl but I'm not talking about the one down near Marina Greens and that's the address you gave. The one I want is closer to Civic Center.
Not looking to hang in hot tubs or bath houses. Trying to locate someone who used to work there

Hotel w/ in-room hot tubs?

alynn1741

Some friends are coming into town (San Francisco) soon (Labor Day) and are looking for help w/ lodging. It's their anniversary, so they're looking for something romantic. Specifically, they want to have their own hot tub, preferably outside on a balcony or something, but in the room is OK. They are willing to go as far south as Carmel/Monterey, up to the north bay (Marin or Sausalito), but would like to stay along the coast.Just one night is OK, but their budget is $300, absolute max! (So no Post Ranch Inn.) None of the travel websites (hotels.com, for example) have "hot tub" as an option to search for, so I am at a loss. Ideas? Thanks!

Answer
If they are willing to travel a bit up north, try Farmhouse Inn, www.farmhouseinn.com. It is a "bargain" by wine country standards - all rooms have jetted tubs and most have in-room saunas as well. There is a great French restaurant on-site.

Maybe a lounge and a restaurant too.

Answer
How about a spa day at Kabuki Springs and Spa. Get a massage or facial, soak in the hot tub, steam in the sauna or the steam room. On Geary near Fillmore.

Within just a few blocks of the spa are several great restaurants/lounges that have great food and live music, check out Rasalas, [Ethiopian Food], Yoshi's [Japanese Food] and 1300 [California Cuisine].

There is also a good Karaoke lounge on Fillmore at Geary.

Happy Birthday!

Fun or interesting things to do on the road from Seattle to San Diego?

Me and my boyfriend are planning a trip, I'm the designated trip planner so what are some cool things to stop and do on the way down the I5? Anything from tourist spots, cool stores, towns, even car activities so we're not bored... thanks!

Answer
Stop and go wine tasting. There are wine regions right along I-5 in Oregon and in California.

I'd definitely try to take 101/1 from San Francisco to Los Angeles to see some of the best coastal areas of California. Intersting stops: Pt. Lobos south of Monterey, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Ocean Dunes south of Pismo, the Farmers Market in down San Luis Obipo on Thursday evenings, soak in a hot mineral Springs tub (pay by the hour) at Sycamore Mineral Springs also in San Luis Obispo.

There's so much to do!
