Has anyone installed jacuzzi hot tub on gravel?

We're thinking about putting ours (model j345) on about 2 inches thick of gray crushed natural rock on compacted ground. Some websites say it's ok...others (of course the jacuzzi site) says not. Anyone done it? Anyone had any problems with it? Thanks!

I was a "Jacuzzi" dealer in Virginia and I remember a customer moving his from the concrete slab we installed it on to a bed of gravel under a gazebo he built. The next spring he wanted it replaced because the fiberglass was full of spider web cracks in the glaze. He took me to court and lost. Although he claimed the gravel was level, the weight of the water caused the gravel to shift and twisted the tub enough to crack the glaze. RScott

No way, for a hot tub that is almost 7 years old. That is just about what the original price was. For about $5,000.00 you can buy a brand new Bull Frog tub.

Can I put a hot tub in my garage?

What would I need to do about ventilation, there is a sizable window but I am worried about condensation.

Its a huge 4 car garage and I want to section one part off as an enclosed Gym etc

They make enclosed gazebos for hot tubs, I don't see why you couldn't put it in the garage. Check to see if your electric service will meet the requirements. The place you purchase the hot tub should be able to answer most of your questions. Good luck!

Have you considered an outdoor gazebo for your hot tub instead of a sun room? The reason I say something is because with an indoor room, the ventilation for your hot tub really isn't adequate. I've serviced several hot tubs located in in-door patios and the humidity level in the room was outrageous.

Another thing you should be concerned about is the ability to remove the hot tub if you ever needed to replace or dispose of it. Just a thought to ponder.

I would recommend building a nice gazebo with enough canopy room to accommodate a hot tub and maybe a small table. Sounds nice to me.

What is up with the older couple resting in the bathtubs in Cialis commercial?

I am wondering if anyone knows what is up with the older couple resting in the bathtubs at the beginning and end of the Cialis commercials. I understand them resting, watching a sunset, but why are they sitting in bathtubs rather then a beach chair or something? Why not in a gazebo or a hot tub as opposed to a regular tub? NE1 got a guess? I am open to any answer.

You see, older people have this problem getting erection and keeping it on. Then to have ... hmmm... hmmm... you know........ is even tougher.

So the commercial goes on to say, it is because of Cialis. That's all there is to it.

Can you make a giant cement block hollow so it could nest a hot-tub and support the deck where the hotub is?

Pretend there was a gazebo on a deck and within the gazebo there was a hot-tub that looked like it went into the ground.

I don't want to add piers to support the deck for the gazebo. Since the square deck is 10' by 10' and the hot-tub is 8' by 8'- can I have the cement block holding everything hollow 8' by 8' to nest the tub while holding the deck?

Yes you can, but you will need a built in door to access the pump that's located under the spa. It needs maintenance. A solid wall would mean you would have to drain and pull out the spa each time to check the pump.

Usually banks won't lend on something that has virtually no resale value.
Credit unions might--2 years.
The place that you buy it from might go 3 years--depending on how much other stuff you buy like a deck or gazebo, covers and chemicals. You will pay a high interest rate. Sometimes they jack up the price and offer a lower rate. Be advised that whatever their advertised price, they bought it from the vendor for 50% of that price.
