I've been having recurrent BV and yeast for the past 2 months! I've just had some relieve and haven't had any BV/yeast for two weeks......I have not used a hot tub or a jacuzzi, but my friend's having a pool party and they have a jacuzzi....so I was wondering....can sitting in a jacuzzi cause a yeast/BV infection? I'm really paranoid!

Use of public jacuzzi's or even ones that are private but poorly maintained, can lead to all sorts of problems, including yeast & BV.
The hot water is NOT hot enough to kill off the bacteria and/or yeast. It is usually at the optimal temperature to propigate it (help it grow), actually!!
And not everyone uses the right amount of chemicals to kill off grunge...IF they use the chemicals at all!
If you're symptom free right now, STAY AWAY from that jacuzzi!! If the symptoms continue to stay away then you have your answer.
While it could be the water, it could also be just heat. Every woman has natually occurring bacteria in their vagina. In the right conditions, that bacteria can overgrow and become Vaginosis.
Also, if you haven't had your BF do so, maybe you should see about him getting treated as well. Men can sometimes be carriers of yeast and bacteria and not even know it! So the reinfection occurs because you're just passing it back and forth among the two of you.

How do i know if i have a yeast infection?

I went in the hottub the other night and i fell asleep right after and did not shower. the next morning i woke up and it was very itchy down there.Not inside but outside the lips of the vagina.I looked down there and there isnt any bumps or anthing it was just kind of red from itching.I think it may be a yeast infection but i do not know.Help?

That itching is the first sign of a yeast infection. If it's not treated, you may get a bad odor. It just doesn't smell right and it's kind of strong. Then you may get some whitish kind of discharge. You'll notice it when you wipe. But there are really good over the counter yeast infection treatments that you can get at the pharmacy without a doctors visit. It's really easy to get yeast infections from hot tubs.
