Why is the GFCI on my hot tub tripping when I turn on the blower?

It's a Nu Wave spa pack. The pump works fine, light too. However when I turn the blower on it runs for a split second then trips the GFCI, but not the breaker. I plugged the blower in to a power supply, it runs fine. I changed the air switch too.

Answer
Sounds to me that either your blower is failing and drawing too many amps causing an excessive amp draw therefore tripping your GFCI. The other probability is that your GFCI is too small for the spa. Most companies only warranty the blower for 1 year. They are notorious to fail. I replace one every 2 days.

But then again if I am selling a service as it appears others are..then go with that answer and be prepared to pay...lol. I have got to say...I cannot remember when a blower has been in anything but a plastic housing. Being 40 I have a long memory. Just to make sure Mr. Spa Fixer...do realize this person said when they turn the Blower on.... Not the heater which we all know that actually work on these things that the heater relay already tripped and therefore is working drawing whatever the amps are and not tripping the GFCI.. OOOPS!! DOH!!!!! Go find a new avenue to make money as in your local market where your prices are way too high hence these people are looking online to begin with.

Hot but Jets work but won't put out the small bubbles anymore.?

Q. My hot tub which came with our new house, the jets worked fine the other day till i drained and cleaned it, now the jets blow out water fine..but when i turn on the blower it doest send out the tiny bubbles anymore. Any ideas?

Answer
Depending on what mode you have. Turn the power off at the breaker. Open the side panel below the topside control, spa pack, locate where on the board the fuse is for the blower and check it by ohm'ing it out. Unplug the blower's cord and inspect for burn marks and then replug back in. Blowers never last long hene the warranties are only one year. The holes are not all plugged up so please don't waste your time.
