best 2-3 person hot tubs image

Meemee
I cleanse the tattoo and take showers, but just curiuos as to how long a person has to wait to soak in an actual bath without doing any damage. Please any advise would be great help.
Answer
You must keep your tattoo clean, however, long showers or baths must be avoided for 2 weeks. Prolonged soaking can and will loosen scabs if any have formed, or will soak through the soft tissue and cause your ink to flow down the drain. This includes Swimming in the Ocean or a Pool, Hot Tubs, and Saunas. Short showers are best, under ten minutes if possible.
Wash the tattoo using your fingertips or hand only.
Use a mild antibacterial soap and warm water.
Take care to remove all traces of blood as this will cause scabbing. Do not scrub the tattoo with a washcloth during the two week healing period. Always gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean soft cloth or just let it air dry
Do not submerge the tattoo in water of any kind for at least 2-3 weeks.

how to keep a belly ring from getting infected?

chocoholic
I'm planning on getting my belly ring done soon and I have a few questions.
1) how can I keep it from getting infected?
2) Is it likely to rip out?
3) how long do I have to wait before going in a pool?
4) after the first year, do I still have to wash it every day?
5) can I work out if I have the belly ring?
Please answer if you've gotten a belly piercing yourself!
Answer
1.) rinse with dial antibacterial soap or other gentle antibacterial soap 2-3 times daily. also soaking it in sea salt increases healing time. dissolve 1/8 of a teaspoon with 8oz of warm water and make a compress with the solution for ten minutes ONLY once daily. too much can dry out the tissue. some piercing places have sea salt sprays you can buy. no hydrogen peroxide.
2.) i have had mine pierced for 3 years and it has only snagged on clothes but nothing painful. you feel the tug and you stop pulling. very unlikely to rip out
3.) it can take 6-9 months to completely heal. even if it looks healed, it may not be completely, but all bodys are different. pools and hot tubs are filled with chemicals that can irritate the piercing and possibly infect it. and no natural bodies of water, even the ocean. i waited two months, but listen to the person who gives the piercing
4.) no, besides the normal everyday shower
5.) yes, you may be sore for the first few months, so i wouldnt reccommend contact sports. just wear a simple piercing when you work out
this was what my piercer told me, but listen to yours if they say anything different
