where can i get a good used pump an motor for a hot tub?

Steve

i need a 115 volt 1hp spa pump and motor ,anybody know where i can get a good used one cheap,it is 1.5 inch hook ups line is on the top

Answer
It would be cheaper I would think to have the motor replaced and pump resealed. You might call a local electric shop that deals in motors sales and service. You might have to take to them to see if they can rebuild it. Thats the way I would go first.

Has anyone used Magic ReNew to refinish porcelain sink/tub?

I bought this product to resurface a porcelain sink in my kitchen. It was recommended at a local HomeDepot. After spending a couple of hours following the instructions to clean and prep the surface and "transferring" the coating agent from a "hot" can to a "cold" can, the darn can won't spray! I'm not sure whether I got any coating agent from the hot can to the can, as a cupful of the stuff oozed out in the transfer process. Anyone have any idea what's going on? God, a terrible product. It wasn't cheap, either. And all the time I wasted...
Scubadiver,
I carefully followed the instructions. I even used a thermostat to mesasure the hot water temperature. When I tried to transfer the stuff from hot to cold, I didn't hear a hissing sound, unless I slightly tilted the hot can to one side. I guess that is when the stuff oozed out into the bag, and not the cold can. I repeatedly warmed the hot can, shook it, and tried the transfer process, but to no avail. The funny thing is, the product claims that you can finish the project over a weekend, and gives you a toll-free number, but they accept calls only on weekdays (and only during normal business hours EST; I'm in California)... And the URL they give you doesn't provide any info on Magic ReNew... I got my money back from Home Depot, but I'm upset for all the time I wasted...
I wonder how much it would cost to have the sink professionally reglazed?

Answer
take it back you were miss lead by an inexperienced sales associate which is what depot and Lowe's is hiring. first of all it cannot be done and if it could it would cost more than sink is worth. why, when sink was new and no finish, they got it red hot then applied powdered porcelain thus melting leaving a glassy finish. if it was fiberglass different story also today's cleaners etch this type of finish and that is why i like a heavy gauge stainless steel sink
