What is causing hot water tank to not keep water heated? Help please?

Scarlet Ir

I have an electric water tank/heater. It worked fine the first year I lived in my house. It suddenly had a problem where the hot water would not stay hot after 5 minutes of use. It would go ice cold. The heating elements were replaced with new ones. Then after a few months I'm back to the same problem. It's getting worse. I then I have to wait for water to heat up for hours before using hot water. I still only get 5 minutes worth. I can't take a bath. Forget filling up tub. I can't finish a full shower. I can only lather my hair with shampoo and by the time I reach for conditioner it's ice cold water. Washing dishes is a challenge as well. Can only wash 6 pieces of dishes like dinner plates and bowls before it's cold.
It's a 30 gallon tank and the water source only is in the kitchen area. Bathroom is off kitchen and laundry room. So water only flows in that area and does not go upstairs as there is no plumbing upstairs.
Help?

Answer
>It sounds like you just have a very poor brand of water heater. Replace the BRAND of water heater with another one. By the time you replace another element, you will have paid for a brand new 200 Gal water tank. Make sure you check out consumer reports first on line and get adivce on which water heater brands are reliable.

has anyone ever died from lack of oxygen in a sauna?

Answer
The rapidly increasing number of spas, hot tubs, and saunas intensifies the potentials for deaths from hyperthermia and drowning. METHODS: I analyzed 54 such deaths reported to me by 55 medical examiners and coroners in the United States and 104 deaths reported to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). RESULTS: Only seven of the 158 deaths analyzed occurred in saunas. All of the remaining deaths occurred in spas, jacuzzis, or hot tubs, which were far more numerous. The chief risk factors identified were alcohol ingestion, heart disease, seizure disorders, and cocaine ingestion (alone or in combination with alcohol ingestion). These factors accounted for 71 or 44.7% of the 159 fatalities. Of these risk factors, alcohol represented 38%; heart disease, 31%; seizure disorders, 17%; and cocaine ingestion, alone or in combination with alcohol, 14%. Sixty-one of the 151 spa-associated deaths occurred in children under 12 years of age. Accidental drownings from uncovered or improperly covered spas and, to a lesser extent, entrapment by suction, were the chief causes of childhood drownings.
