Gothic boy
I have a red tail boa and i'm moving to new york from wilmington nc(driving) wil it be ok , it's like a 10-12 hour drive with all the stops on the way up
Answer
It will be fine. I moved a bunch of my snakes from California to South Carolina without issue and it took 4 days. I used a rubbermaid tub with plenty of aspen in it. Make sure during your stops that you keep the temperatures down as heat will kill a snake in no time. I drove a big rig and left the truck running at all stops to allow the air to run (I had my dogs and cats as well as the snakes with me too). You wouldn't do that with a regular car as most won't let you lock it while the car is running. Keep the tub out of direct sunlight at all times and if you must stop, you may want to bring a large ice chest to place him in to keep it from getting too hot. The air inside will be plenty for a quick stop involving a potty break for you and perhaps picking up a meal. A small disposable ice pack in the chest (not touching the snake) will keep the air cooler as well. I'm assuming the temperatures are as warm as they are here in SC....in the upper 90's to 100's.

Are spas from Hydrospa good?

toohotglas
Costco sells them, but I want some feedback.
Answer
Well, yes and no. They have improved greatly over what they use to be. Am I a fan at all no!!!!! Chief answered with some of the common problems what he did not mention were few repair centers in the nation for the people who buy internet and mass box store tubs. There's a reason they are cheaper...they are made cheaper. Corners get cut and you will be on a first name basis with who ever they get to fix it. I cover hot tub repair for 42 companies warranties here out of Wilmington NC. Looking at the above spa Nordic mentioned, I would like to point out that, that one uses a harder to get Gecko pack that's manufacture has been banned at times from importation into the United States for various reasons. Their jets are cheap. I can't tell you how many I have had to replumb in the mtns of nc, due to poor glue and leaks.
Your obviously looking at the lower end tubs. I greatly suggest you go with a major manufacture like , Masterspa, Cal Spa, Sundance, D1, or Hot Springs. There's a reason these manufactures have been around for an average 30 years each. Service after the fact. No matter what make sure you understand the chemistry involved. Otherwise your going to ruin things like your heater and the manufacture is going to say it's not covered under the warranty. Three different things usually go before the spa hits 5 years of age. It is going to break down. Poolnspa.com has a nice list of manufactures to stay with. Don't pay any attention ot the shell warranties and structure. Other things will wear out way before it will. Be sure the dealer has a good sound rep. from others. Use a credit card for the purchase. Don't get nickeled and dimed for accessories. Feel free to email.
