What do I need to take for working a ski season?

Beck

OK, so I'm a first timer. I have never skied before and I'm going out to Austria at the beginning of December to work the season. I have never been out there or anywhere during ski season and usually go to warm places on holiday, so I don't know what to expect or what to take! I am intending to learn to ski at least to beginner level before I go out.

I am after any kind of advice anyone can offer me, I'm not really sure what clothes/equipment or anything I need to take out with me, bearing in mind I'll be there for at least 5 months!

Thanks everyone :)
Im going to a small english run hotel in the village of Eben im Pongau which is around 40 mins away from Salzburg. I'm gunna be doing waitressing/cleaning.

I must also warn everyone i'm a very girly girl, so when it comes to clothes, please tell me everything or else I'll go out there with my summery little tops and end up looking like a right div lol!

Answer
Ask your employers. They may have a dress standard for their help. You should also take at least 2 weeks worth of clothing in case you do not have time for laundry. Pack a weeks worth in "Space saver" bags just in case. Take 2 sets of leisure clothes, one set of dance shoes and 2 pair of work/ casual shoes, a swimsuit and a robe for the pool and hot tubs. If you are going to try skiing, then rent your equipment and search now for clothes that fit at the local ski sales and Ebay. Hope this helps.

Can I copyright my ad text on craigslist ads to stop people from cut and pasting my text into their ads?

I sell clean used hot tubs on craigslist and ebay. Once or twice a year someone will cut and paste my ad text and use it for their hot tub ad. I ask them to change it but sometimes they don't comply. Can I copyright the ad text?
Btw, the text is a proven effective template that I use to sell each tub. It is a valuable tool to me to sell them a quickly as possible. It's embarrassing when someone copy's it!

Answer
Probably not ... doubt it'd be worth the trouble. Unless they are using registered trademarks ... or branded images etc. assoc with your company. If they were using some kind of sales slogan that's closely assoc with your business.

Regardless, its still a legal quagmire I doubt you'd want to get into. Cause even if they are starkly violating some copyright law, or intellectual property rights. There's the little matter of enforcement ... which involves having to contact an attorney and go through a court process to get some kind of official order for enforcement ...

So am not an attorney ... cant copyright a word. Say for example I cant copyright the word ... "sweet" and then bar everyone from using it ... w/o them paying me royalties. But even if I could, the effort of enforcing legal action and the processes involved wouldnt be worth the time/trouble/money.
