Sands of Kahana – Reviews?

Stephen Dj

One of my friends recommended Sands of Kahana and a couple of others, while I was recently planning a trip with me and my family to Hawaii and was wondering where I could find a resort hotel. I was wondering if anyone can help me find out more on this hotel as I want to learn more about it. If anyone can tell me how their experience was there that would be helpful. I was looking into getting the 2 bedroom resort.
Thank you so much,
Stephen Djovik

Hello Stephen,

I went on a trip to Hawaii during the summer and I have to say my stay at Sands of Kahana was very memorable. We also chose the 2 bedroom option and the hotel itself was very conveniently close to the beaches. There was a spectacular ocean view from our suite and would definitely look into getting a room close to the waters. There are a lot of activities at the resort and outside as well. They have an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, restaurant, bar lounge, putting green, barbeque area, tennis courts and exercise rooms. It was nearby some golf courses and some great scuba diving areas as well. Hope you enjoy!

Easiest sanitation for hot tub/ Aqua finesse/ spa frog?

Nate

OK so here it is. I'm not a retard, i'm just uber busy. SO what I need is something quick and easy to take care of my hot tub. I have a little 110 hot tub, 225 gallons, 12 jet hot tub.. Its an outdoor hot tub that I will be using a cover on once I get it to keep leaves out and such... SO whats the best easy way to keep it clean? I always hear bromine this or that but I look and the stupid kits have like a million different chemicals! I don't want that crap! I have seen two different chemical kits that interest me- spa frog and aqua finesse... The spa frog obviously is the floater with minerals and bromine and then aqua finesse is some new fangled thing i've never heard of (lol.) But the aqua finesse advertises that its a simple one step solution... Is this possible? I found like two whole reviews and their both good but still who knows.. HELP. =) Any advice would be much appreciated as where i've owned cheap above ground pools and have done my homework on spas, i'm still kinda confused on what to do chemical wise. Too many choices!
OH and it has an ozonator which I understand makes it where I can use less chemicals..

Answer
Maintaining a spa is like maintaining a pool but you have to service one day per week. Bromine is a good way to go you will need your bromine tablets and a floating dispenser. It is important that you maintain a ph level between 7.8 and 7.2 ppm and a alkalinity level between 80 and 120 ppm for this you will need ph up, ph down, and alkalinity up. The ozonator and the minerals in spa frog will allow you to keep your bromine level lower so you will use less bromine. You can buy the mineral pack and the bromine tablets separate if your retailer does not carry spa frog. When using bromine you will need to add sodium bromide when the spa is filled with fresh water.
