I found a used hot tub in the paper and am going to look at it tomorrow. Since Im a college student, $400 sounded great to me! What should i look for and what kinds of expenses should i expect? Thanks for the feedback!

Don't buy it unless it is filled with water and they can demonstrate that it works. Then you can check for leaks and also see that it does in fact work.

I recently purchased a used hot tub, it looks like the previous owner hasn't used it in a while or taken very good care of it. What should I do for my initial cleaning before using it? Should I fill it up with water, add a gallon of bleach or vinegar and run the jets and blower for half an hour then drain it? I want to make sure i clean out the plumbing well.

yep, and along or seperate cleansing some isoprohyl alcohol and maybe some hydrogen peroxide. and to really remove any smells - Dawn with the lime scent.
