cheap hot tubs under 2000 image

pinkxdior
I'm looking to book a winter ski trip about a week long probably 7 nights for the last week of february like Feb 21 - Feb 28 for me and my boyfriend. Ive browsed all the major sites expedia, orbitz, travelocity, etc. but nothing is really too outstanding.
Im looking for a hotel that has a hot tub/jacuzzi in the room and preferably a mini bar and close to the ski resort. Ski resort can be anywhere. Colorado, Utah, Vermont.
Was considering Lake Tahoe but I am not 21 yet and would feel bad not being able to go to the casinos.
I am trying to fit at least flight and hotel for 7 nights under 2000 total for both me and him together.
Please give suggestions and where I can get good deals. Thanks!

I love going to Canada for skiing bargains. The exchange rate right now is 1.22, so $1 US is equal to $1.22 canadian - it's like everything is 20% cheaper up there.
Whistler in British Columbia is about an hour and a half north of Vancouver. It's one of the best ski villages around (stay in the main village). The skiing is out of this world. Something a little closer to NY Mont Tremblant in Quebec. I've never been there, but heard good things about it.

Becomming a kilt wearer?

Josh D
I was think about buying a kilt and I was wondering, How do you properly put it on/ wear it, do I need to wear anything under it, how much would it cost. I would also like to know any other information about kilt that you have.
Answer
If you go onto any of the kilt websites, they talk about sizing it up. There is kilt in every price range.
They are simple to wear. What makes them really nice above just having a kilt is that you can use it for all kinds of things. I find the cheaper SportKilts are great for changing in and out of clothes when I am out and about. The kilt sits above where you wear jeans or shorts, so changing clothes gin public is easy, and often interest others around you. It's not a show, but you can see people's imaginations.
I like to use my sportkilt to get in and out of the hot tub as well. Works far better than a towel because it hangs on you. So great for the backyard times of just hanging out, and enjoying life.
But besides the comfort of changing clothes, and being better than a towel, a good kilt is fun to go out in. Many women will get you a second look. Some with laugh, but most will like you before they even speak to you.
As for wearing something under is pure preference. Many think that you have to go regimental, or nothing under the kilt. They also seem to think that you cannot do this on a cold day, and that the wind will blow them up. All myths...
If I am wearing my kilt in public, I wear underwear. For many reasons. If it's warm, you will get sweaty and it will run down your leg. A wool kilt can get warm. So actually a cool day in a warm kilt is actually ideal. I also like to wear something under the kilt in public so I can sit down without getting arrested for indecent exposure. And you will get complaints if kids are around.
There are many websites for support. Look up Brotherhood of the Kilt. They have a lot great forums. They also have Kilt Nights in most metro cities throughout the United States where a group of guys go to the pub all kilted up.
Perhaps the most important thing to consider is how to look good wearing a kilt. Don't treat it like a costume, as many think they are in the U.S. Look at them as just another piece of your wardrobe that you wear when you want to. You will find and know those times. Walk up and down stairs and figure out how to best do that where you look damn good moving in one. The better you look in them, the more others will expect to see you in them because they are something special. Shop for the implements as well, at least a belt and sock (hose). I generally prefer aggressive hiking boots with the socks. I typically wear the sporrans for special occasions, but many of the modern sport of causal kilts can be had with front and rear pockets, negating the need for a sporran. Some modern kilts have outer side pockets, so you could find some with a total of six pockets!
There are essentially three types of kilt wearers. Most go for the formal version for their Sunday best, Weddings and special ceremonies. These are wool, which the full rig that can cost between $700-2000. The full charlie so to speak. Then you have the causal wearer that focuses mainly on the kilt. You can wear polo's, button up shirts, really anything, but with a kilt and hose for the bottom half.
The third class is bagpipers that follow a military-styled dress. They are a special rig that I would avoid for the other two types. Many see this attire as the norm because they do not know what they are looking at. They special jackets and sporrans. So don't get a Doublet, Argyle Plaid Hose and Horse Hair Sporran unless you want to be a piper. Hollywood often makes this mistake. I always chuckle when I see movies like "Mrs. Brown."
I would check to see if there are any Celtic, Irish or Scottish activities in your area. They have all kinds of things that you can buy. There typically all kinds of vendors, and sights to see there. I love to go to be the fashion critic. So many guys buy kilts that are either too short or too long. They also have interesting get ups as well. This is still okay, but to look sharp it just needs to cross the knee cap while standing straight. Scots use to see the knees like we now see women's boobs. They were suppose to be just hidden, but teasing.
The only other piece I would throw in there is that idea that you have to be Scottish to wear a kilt. This is crap. Make it your own if you are American. Chances are good you are not full blooded Scot, if there is one (many are mixed with germanic vikings). Make it your own, but make it look good. The Scots have it really perfected, so take it from there. Many people will ask you about your heritage when in a kilt. They seem to want to respect you if you are qualified to wear it. You might be, but for the most of us, it's just something we really like.
