The luxurious and sophisticated Mali ou hana Resort & Spa, with its spa 'Day Suites', 25,000 bottle wine cellar and spacious, elegant and comfortable rooms and suites is the perfect destination for a luxury spa holiday. The sheltered coves and beautiful beaches all around create the perfect Caribbean ambiance, and a stunning setting for this stylish, relaxing resort.

The hotel has just 55 rooms spread over 25 lush, tropical acres and each has its own covered terrace or balcony. You can choose from accommodation in the main house with spectacular ocean views, suites situated on a bluff overlooking the turquoise waters, or a villa on the beach or in and amongst the tropical gardens. There is also the option of further privacy with the Jacuzzi Suites that overlook Turtle Cove Beach and have an outdoor terrace & covered patio as well as a private outdoor hot tub. For even more luxury there is also the Pool Suite that features a large lounge, two bedrooms, a whirlpool bath, several outdoor terraces, private sundecks, their own swimming pool and private access to Turtle Cove Beach.

However, the highlight of Mali o hana is its world-class oceanfront spa covering 15,0000 square feet and offering state of the art facilities. This full service spa includes three private spa-suites each with its own outdoor balcony, a supervised gym and fitness centre and an outdoor Jacuzzi looking out over the ocean from the relaxation deck.

The hotel also features 2 restaurants of the highest standard - the award-winning Michel Ros tang and the beach side bistro. There is plenty to keep you occupied during the day with complimentary activities including tennis snorkel lining, windsurfing, water-skiing and sailing. The resort is also family friendly with a supervised children's play area and a pirate ship with water slide and water cannons.

The other answerer is right about facilities, how will you keep foods like potato salad, cole slaw and even the meat chilled until cooking time??? Having said that, go with primary colors--red, yellow, blue and green or maybe even leave the green out and go with the other three. Alternate the long plastic tablecloths on picnic tables and use say red plates, blue glasses on a yellow tablecloth and use a multi print or a striped napkin with the primary colors.Use mason jars with wild flowers or the flowers that you can buy by the bunch at local grocery stores, again try to stick with primary colors, perhaps you can get them to help you out or cut a deal with a florist. Tie a simple red gingham bow around each. Serve iced tea and lemonade out of glass gallon jugs. Buy the big plastic tubs in red and blue at Wal-Mart and mix some generic brand soft drinks with regular brands, this will not look like you are going with all generic "cheap" brands. Also, buy canned lemonade, iced tea, water, whatever you want, have something non-sugar and plenty of water for diabetics. If shelters are not covered, beg, borrow or steal colorful umbrellas. Around edges of shelters, unless this is a high end resort. Make a mega bunch of the crepe paper streamers in the primary colors and hang from each corner and intertwine and drape up at the same intervals on each side. Also, colorful windsocks can be purchased at $stores which would look great on the corners of each or main shelter. Have multiple plates with toppings, lettuce, tomato, purple onion ring slices, etc. and deviled eggs on colorful platters again at $ stores, also have pickle/relish trays to give things a more "peppy" look. The red and yellow containers are a great idea. Also, balloon bunches of three in red, yellow and blue would be plenty in the center of each table with those pretty weighted holders you can get at $tree for $1. It's to me, anyway, not so much about what you have, but the presentation, the first view that guests get will set the mood for the day and if everything is colorful and jolly then that's all that matters. Fun, fellowship, food with your family and friends. Buy funny chefs aprons and hats and colorful mits and hot pads for cooks. Have helpers/servers and talk with plenty (talk with before hand) and use the red, yellow and blue bandanna's as a neck scarf or fold and pin on top, etc. to give it a festive look. Use plastic pitchers for servers to refill drinks. Have a pinata in same colors for kids. Also, if possible, hang silk flower blooms or chines lanterns from lower tree branches. Have cupcakes in same colors or all yellow with the red, blue and green sprinkles and a large cookie tray. If possible and allowable you could even have an area for kiddie pools and hang colored swim rings, toys from low tree branches for decorations. On invites or by phone tell kiddies to bring swim suits or wear underneath clothes. Big striped beach towels draped over card tables will also add color and can place desserts and side items (tomatoes, etc.) on these. If you have a place to hang or a table, have about three of the large sheets of poster paper in yellow with markers and let guests write their best wishes and sign as a souvenir of your multicolored back yard extravaganza.
