Answer
It all depends on what activities you are looking for. If you love the theme parks, then Orlando Florida would be a great choice. In addition to Sea World, Disney and Universal Studios, taking an airboat ride is fun as well as GatorLand Zoo. And of course a day trip over to Cocoa Beach!
The water parks are alot of fun too. Swimming with the dolphins is another option but I think you have to book reservations way in advance.
Another suggestion, if you love the great outdoor activities is the North GA Mountains of Blue Ridge. Cabin rentals are alot of fun. There are many to choose from depending on the ammenities you want. You'll find many that are fairly new and have game rooms, hot tubs, wireless internet, log furniture (beds and all), and satellite TV.
AREA ACTIVITES in the North GA Mountains:
Ocoee River - White Water Rafting, Kayaking
Lake Blue Ridge and Lake Nottely - swimming, fishing, picnics
Toccoa River - tubing, fishing
Blue Ridge Marina - jet ski and boat rentals
Aska Adventure Wilderness Area - hiking and biking
Horseback riding, golf, sightseeing, antique shopping, day spa
Old Fashioned Swan Drive-In Movie Theatre
Blue Ridge Scenic Railway - Take a 4 hour train ride along the Toccoa River and through the Mountains with a short layover in neighboring TN
Wherever you go..........Have a Great Time!!!!

Answer
If you live near GA, the North GA Mountains are great! Loads of outdoor activites that are fairly inexpensive.......
*Hiking and Mountain Biking
*Tubing on the Toccoa River
*Fishing
*There's an old fashioned Drive-In Movie Theatre which is alot of fun.
*The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway where you can take a 4 hour train ride along the Toccoa River and through the mountains. It stops over in neighboring TN where you can get out and have an ice cream or a quick lunch.
*Waterfalls
There's also white water rafting and kayaking on the Ocoee River but that might cost a little more than the above.
Find a cabin that has loads of ammenities to entertain the kids without even leaving.
I have a cabin in Blue Ridge, GA. It has a Game Room with a cedar top wet bar, pool table, poker/card table, board games, LOG checker board table with log benches, satellite TV, wireless internet (for those teenagers that can't leave home without the internet!), a 6 person hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, washer, dryer, mountain views and a great piece of property that you can walk around and explore nature!
You'll find a large variety of cabins in the area, from very basic (less expensive) to luxury with loads of ammenities!
Good Luck and have fun whever you go!
