Planning Honeymoon for Banff National Park in Canada end of October 2010?

My fiance and I are trying to plan our honeymoon for end of October 2010 and my parents are saying Banff is going to be to snowey, and to cold and this that and the other thing and I on the other hand think it's amazing. His parents seem to think it's also a good idea.

please answer the following best you can...

1. have you been to Banff National Park before?
2. have you been to Banff in October-November before?
3. Is it snowey end of Oct, blizzardy, bad snow storms at all?
4. what is the weather like in October for Alberta Canada?
I highly resent the 3rd comment... MOVE MY DATE.. yea that sounds like a smart idea.. CHANGE MY VENU, FLOWERS, CAKE, RENTALS, TABLES, LINNENS, CENTERPIECES, RESEND MY SAVE THE DATES... no flipping way are we CHANGING THE DATE... that would cost a whole $5,000 in breaking contract fee's, and another $3000 in re-booking everything and we picked OCTOBER because we DIDN'T WANT OUR WEDDING IN SEPTEMBER... so that would be about 72 thumbs DOWN for you... thank you to the other two replies that were actually helpful.

Yes, I've been to Banff, not as late as November but have frozen my a** off camping around there in late September. It could easily snow in late October/early November and it could also rain or be nice, all three on the same day maybe. It could be warmish in the day and cold at night. Mountain weather is variable. Fall in Alberta can be lovely, but it snowed around Calgary early last October, enough to be a problem for traffic. I was there a week or so later and the snow was melted by then. But if you guys don't mind some chilly weather along with the great scenery, I say do it. Being out in the cold for a while and then coming inside to a nice fire or hot tub and a glass of wine sounds like a great thing to do on a honeymoon.
