Answer
OOOHH, now you will learn WHY people end up giving these beasts away when they have to move 'em...
I bought an 8x8 massive tub last month, had the joy of moving it from one house to another.
Here's my findings!
1. four guys aren't enough; 5-6 would make life simple. you need a couple guys to steer the tub and more to push & pull.
2. a trailer MADE for hot tubs! Dont make my mistake and trust your buddy to "find you one." We ended up with a motorcycle/snowmobile trailer that was too small for the job and that was a huge waste of time and my SANITY! Dont bother with UHAUL, call your local equipment rental company and they will have a hot tub trailer and a hot tub dolly for rent--spend the money, its well worth it.
3. LEVERAGE is your friend. Work smarter, not harder. Drain the tub completely, including the plumbing/pipes--water is HEAVY. We turned the tub on its end, used two 16 foot 2x4's under the tub and slid the tub onto the trailer and used the 2x4's for lifting of the tub and like a snow-sled to slide the tub. I like the idea of a scrap piece of carpet as well from the other posts.
go slow!

How much would it cost a construction crew to make a 8X8 concrete base for a 6 person hot tub in columbus ohio

Answer
I'd do it myself, actually. But the job shouldn't cost more than 300-400 bucks for the slab itself. If the code in your area calls for a ratwall, tack on another 300-400.
