best hot tubs on the market image

Leche
I'm staying at a log cabin for a week and it has both. I've heard that a jacuzzi is just a brand name for a hot tub, but I'm still confused. They said it has a hot tub and a jacuzzi, but if Jacuzzi is just a brand name, then why wouldn't they just say it has two hot tubs?
Sorry if this was confusing haha
Answer
Technically, Jacuzzi is a registered trade name by the Roy Jacuzzi company in California -- it's a violation of their rights to use the word in advertising except to advertise a product bought from them.
In the general market, though, the word "jacuzzi" often is used to mean an indoor bathtub with whirlpool jets, and the term "hot tub" is used to describe a large outdoor tub with whirlpool jets.

How much to ask for used jacuzzi?

not 30 yet
My parents bought a home and there is a jacuzzi hot tub on the back deck. They don't want it and would like to sell it. How much is a fair price to get for it? I think it is about 4-5 foot diameter--about 4-6 people can fit in it.
Answer
A lot depends on how old it is and who manufactured it. My neighbor has a 1999 Hot Springs Spa for sale right now listed at $800 and has had it on the market for two weeks. He has only received one call since he started advertising it. Most of the spas listed in the classified section of our local paper that are newer than his (2003-2005) are between $1000-1200.
