We're going there in November. Is it in use.....and do people go in it this time of year?

Answer
I just checked out today. great hotel on the boardwalk. the fifth floor pool is closed/outdoor. the saltwater pool/also outdoor remains open as it's heated year round. i didn't see anyone in it,but they said you could use it until 7pm daily - remember it's outside.... there is a hot tub in the sea spa, i didn't use but it looked pretty. it's co-ed and part of their steam and sauna area.

the hotel was vibrant, i loved the experience. looking forward to returning. be sure to spend the extra dollars and stay in the luxe. it's worth it.

chelsea prime for dinner, teplitz for breakfast and a walk on the boards. the waves were huge today, then it turned to snow. it was magical.

las vegas in the winter, is there any indoor pools, or any heated ones outside in the winter?

plan on going in january.

Answer
The only two hotels with TRUE indoor pools are not on the Strip.

There's a Best Western on Valley View about 10 minutes west of the Strip and the Holiday Inn Express at Sahara & Durango is about 25 minutes to the west.

ON the STRIP...the next best thing...The Tropicana uses a glass partition to enclose the covered section of its large pool by the hotel's Island Tower. The pool and surrounding indoor area are kept heated to a comfortable level. There is also a Jacuzzi spa there. In the winter one of the Tropicana's smaller outdoor pools which is designated for adult use only is also kept heated to about 90 degrees. Normally that would be too warm, but in winter, when Las Vegas' nighttime air temperatures hover in the mid-twenties, a midnight swim in that pool is like basking in a hot spring. The tough part is getting out of the pool.

NON-Hotel options...there are health clubs and "expensive/high-end" condos in the area that have indoor pools...you'd need a taxi or rental car to get to...and you'd have to pay a "visitor/guest" fee to use them.

LAS VEGAS HOTEL POOLS
Virtually every resort on the Las Vegas Strip has at least one pool and many have several. Although some resorts close most of their pools and hot tubs during the chilly winter months, nearly all of them keep at least one pool open or at least a hot tub. With the addition of many of the resorts here adding nightclubs in combination with pool parties...we'll probably have even more pools open in the winter than we've ever had before. I the know the nightclub/restaurant TAO (Ventian/Encore) had told me that they would keep their pool open all year (but these things are subject to change too.)

Here's a list of all the hotels with pools that CLAIM they're heated.
