hot tubs and children image
Q. I've got a swimming pool near my place, with a hot tub, they allowed anyone who is older than 16 in the hot tub. One day I saw alot of special needs children, mostly with down syndrome and cerebral palsy. They were all under 16. The lifeguard said they have medical approval from their doctor. How come they are allowed in the hot tub?
Answer
It probably because the hot-tub does not have chlorine in the water.
The swimming pool has chlorine and likely to kills the bacteria that our bowel or bladder makes if we have an accident.
I think its something to do with no chlorine in the hot tub. When the pool has it.

Is there a danger or risk involved in swimming in a swimming pool then warming up in a hot tub?

Marina
If the swimming pool is about 72 degrees F and maybe lower, and the Hot tub is about 102.5 to 103 degrees. If there is a risk or danger, is the risk greater for children under the age of 5? What about men and women? If you have a good answer for me, where can I verify this information?
Answer
There is no danger. 102-103 is rather cool for a hot tub.
