I will be traveling for a couple of months to New Zealand and Australia. During this time I will be doing TONS of walking/hiking... I need a good pair of shoes that will be comfortable yet durable. Any suggestions? Name brands? etc... Thanks :)

Answer
KEENS!

I did a ton of walking and hiking in New Zealand and I started out wearing my hiking boots but they were just so hot! and when they got wet it felt like walking in hot tubs.
Keen makes very durable water sandals that can actually be used for hiking. It lets your feet air, they aren't that clunky, they have a big rubber front so you won't stub your toes.
Once I started wearing them instead it was so nice! I would recommend taking some regular hiking boots AS WELL for colder days or if your doing a very intense hike where you need high ankle support but for everything else keen sandals are your best bet.

Do showers use up less water than taking a bath?

I've been doing a little research recently and I've read that taking showers uses up less water then taking a bath. I've heard that something that varies the level of water usage is the shower-head. So why don't we just simply fill up our bath tubs using our showers? would this be logical?

Answer
Showers can take much less water, depending on the person and circumstances. Had a friend who worked at the south pole- she said they were allowed a 90 second hot water shower a week because the fuel to melt the ice and heat the water had to be flown in from New Zealand.
