Have you or do you know of anyone who used a hot tub during pregnancy and the baby turned out fine? If so, how far along were you and how long did you stay in the hot tub?
Or vice versa, have you used a hot tub during pregnancy and you had a miscarriage or your baby was born with birth defects?
I'm not looking for advice; I've read the research out there. I only want mothers who've been in this situation to respond, please. I'd just like to know...thank you! :)

Yes, I did. I didnt let the water go above 100. I would only stay in for about 15 minutes. I love the hot tub, why not enjoy yourself. My son is 4 yrs old next month and healthy.

How soon can I go to the spa after giving birth?

Since it's not advised going to the spa/sauna/hot tub/steam room during pregnancy, I was wondering how long should I wait after the baby is born to go to the spa? I am not sure if I will even have the time to go to the spa, but theoretically, how long should I wait until I go to the spa for a few hours?
Answer
Well the whole reason to avoid spa, saunas, hot tubs & the like is to avoid overheating & hurting your baby. So pretty much as soon as you are out of the hospital, you can go into saunas & steam rooms.
HOWEVER, you should not sit in any standing body of water until you have stopped bleeding. NO baths, pools, hot tubs, rivers, oceans, ect. The reason for this is because your uterus is vulnerable to infection while it is shedding tissue. And if you are breastfeeding, make sure you drink lots of fluids because its very easy to dehydrate.
